Overview
Fantasy Fusio is a GameFi-driven investment platform where users compete in a fantasy league based on real-world crypto performance. By blending competitive gaming mechanics with decentralized finance (DeFi), I designed an end-to-end ecosystem that makes asset management interactive, social, and high-stakes.
The Challenge
Most Web3 platforms feel like complex financial spreadsheets. The challenge was to strip away the “technical boredom” and replace it with adrenaline and competition. I needed to create an onboarding flow that educated users while maintaining the “vibe” of a high-energy gaming tournament.
The Solution:
I utilized a “Cyber-Gamer” aesthetic—dark modes, neon accents, and character-driven UI—to signal that this is a space for strategy and play. I designed a seamless user journey that moves from a cinematic splash sequence to a highly functional trading dashboard.
Key UX/UI Pillars
- Cinematic Onboarding Sequence: I developed a multi-stage intro and splash sequence that sets the stage for the platform’s world-building, ensuring users feel like they are entering an “arena” rather than just a website.
- Interactive Leaderboard & Social Proof: Designed a high-visibility leaderboard (1st, 2nd, 3rd place podiums) that highlights top-performing “Managers,” driving user retention through competition and status.
- Complex Portfolio Architecture: I designed robust tools for “Edit Portfolio” and “Comparison” views, allowing users to tweak their crypto line-ups with the same precision they would use in a fantasy sports league.
- Mobile-Responsive Adaptability: As seen in the project mocks, every screen was architected for both Desktop and Mobile, ensuring a “play-on-the-go” experience without losing complex data visualization.
- Gamified “Call to Action”: Replaced standard buttons with “Let’s Play” and “Connect Wallet” prompts that sit within the game’s aesthetic, reducing the perceived friction of Web3 wallet integration.
Results
A high-retention GameFi product that successfully bridges the gap between pro-traders and casual gamers. Fantasy Fusio transforms the high-pressure world of crypto volatility into a strategic playground, resulting in a 50,000+ game-played ecosystem (as visualized in the UI).
